Love what you’re seeing?
Here’s what other women have to say:
-
Vay, 25, Chicago
Guatemala has been a dream destination for me as someone who loves amazing food, culture, views, and activities. As a first time female solo traveler, safety was my number one concern and I can now say this was one of the places I’ve been to where I felt most comfortable! All of the recommendations I was given were amazing and I have found myself recommending them to my friends now. The driver pickup at the airport was seamless and he was even able to drive me back. The people in Guatemala were some of the kindest people I’ve met and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and felt comfortable. Hiking Volcan Acatenango was a once in a lifetime experience. Everyone should experience Guatemala at least once and I’m so happy I had Kayla to help me with this unforgettable trip! Already counting down the days until I get to go back!

Sophie, 25, New York City
I decided to travel to Guatemala on whim and it was the most amazing experience! It was my first time solo traveling and as a 25 year old female I was really apprehensive at first but after working with EXPLORENGO I felt confident and calm from the jump.
EXPLORENGO helped coordinate my travel to and from Guatemala City and everything in between! I loved the artistry, local markets and the food in Antigua! Then I climbed Volcano Acatenango where I saw a breathtaking view of an active volcano. Highly recommend a group trip to Guatemala especially if you go with EXPLORENGO, they will ensure you have one of the best trips of your life!

I visited Guatemala in 2024 and had such a meaningful and memorable time. The team at EXPLORENGO was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the whole experience. They were always available to answer questions and made me feel supported from the moment I arrived.
As a woman traveling on my own, I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. People were welcoming, and the places I visited felt calm and easy to navigate. It gave me a lot of confidence to explore at my own pace.
What I really appreciated about ExploreNGO was how thoughtful and genuine their approach was. It never felt rushed or overly structured, they really encouraged me to connect with the local culture in an authentic way.
Guatemala is such a beautiful country, full of vibrant colors, kind people, and amazing nature. I’m really glad I took this trip and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a meaningful travel experience. -

Meet Your Trip Leader: Kayla O’Neill
Guatemala was the first country I ever traveled to completely solo. I was so scared, I remember the night before my flight I almost canceled everything. And what happened when I decided to just GO? I met my now life-long friend and business partner, I’ve connected with local communities and businesses, I’ve found a new home and now live in my true happy place: Antigua, Guatemala, AND I get to share this all with travel-loving women like myself from around the world??
I’m so excited for every woman who makes the decision to join one of our group trips. There’s nothing better than the excitement and adventure of experiencing a new country with like-minded women who just get you and who are down for anything, from hiking an active volcano to volunteering and connecting with locals. I can’t wait to share my love for this beautiful country!
